These details are the finishing touches that often define a scheme and may be linked to a specific historical period style, such as Georgian or Art Deco. Joinery is a way of visually linking one room to another … the wallpaper may be different in each room, but if the style of the joinery is consistent throughout, the look works as a whole. These architectural details are vital in maintaining a sense of elegance and proportion within the project.

An interior door may have been constructed to a simple plain or four panel design. However, when our Joinery team has installed that door, surrounded by an elegant architrave and flanked with tall skirting boards, it will begin to look beautiful. Our Designers often include bespoke panelling to entrance halls and corridors, and the proportions of the panels will have been carefully worked out, to complement other details of the project

The Joinery team will make panelling and mouldings to order, and as each item is bespoke, adjustments can be made where necessary – perhaps to reduce a depth or increase a height. We have a selection of traditional and classic profiles and can make bespoke designs to suit a particular room or theme. 

Window seats are often requested. Our designers may match it to bespoke panelling in the room and utilise particular elements of the architraves and mouldings too. All these individual details are specified by the Design team and made by the Joinery team. These important yet discreet finishing touches are used to create symmetry and balance within a scheme. As with all our Joinery products, different finishes can be used, including hand or spray painting, as well as natural timbers which will have a hardwearing and protective finish.

We also have our own spray room which allows us to offer a spraying service in any colour or stain including gloss, matt, liquid metal, stained timber and mirror finishes.
